Yard Shunter (using ordinary tractor unit)

Salary: £28.000 - £30,000 depending on experience
Permanent, full time position with 6 months probation period
Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm
Based: Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 2QF

We are a highly successful facilities company, based in Addlestonemoor, Surrey.

The role

We are a Facilities Company specialising in the Film & TV industry that are expanding their workforce. We are looking for a Yard Shunter that will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager as well as liaising with all staff, all of whom will be able to provide you with ongoing training.

Between the two roles the key tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Moving trailers and vehicles on and off the cleaning bay as per workload requirements
• Preparing trailers to leave for hire from the yard
• Arranging trailers for their gas and electric testing
• Liaising with the Operations department for allocation of vehicles for Productions
• Quality control of trailers upon their return from hire - checking for damage etc.
• Always maintain safe working by complying with procedures and Health & Safety requirements
• Emptying toilet tanks when required

What we are looking for

• Successful candidates will have a class 1 HGV Licence
• You must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
• Show high level of client confidentiality
• You must have a proactive can-do attitude
• Have the desire to learn and develop your skills
• Ideally be immediately available and able to hit the ground running
