Health & Safety Co-ordinator/Assistant
Permanent position with 6 months' probation period.
£22,000.00 - £25,000.00PA depending on experience
Full time – 40 hrs per week

We are a highly successful Film Transport & Facilities company, based in Addlestonemoor, Surrey.
The Role
We are looking for someone to assist and work alongside our Health & Safety Manager in a supporting role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the delivery of Health & Safety Inductions to new employees and new contractors on site.
Review, update and improve current Health & Safety processes and procedures. This is for the head office site and on-site locations.
Carry out regular site inspections and liaise and feedback to Head of Departments.
Ensure all legislative requirements are documented, reviewed and appropriate training is carried out.
Assist in the investigating, recording, and reporting any incident or accidents on site and report to senior management.
Actively involved in drafting and advising Management on method statements, risk assessments, safe systems of work and participate in any Health & Safety requirements in company tendering process.
Ensure Subcontractors competence and safety documentation is reviewed and accepted before any works begin.
Be active in managing all Health and Safety site administration requirements such as first aid box supplies, PPE, equipment training, updating and filing of certificates.
Maintain training records of all site personnel.
What we are looking for
Successful candidates will have ideally an IOSH qualification and looking towards gaining a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
- You will have worked in a previous Health and Safety role for a minimum of 12 months and are looking to advance your knowledge and experience
- You must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- You must be highly computer literate, especially with Excel, Word & Outlook
- You must be capable of multi-tasking reliably in a busy environment, no two days are ever the same here
- Show high level of client confidentiality
- You must have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Be able to work on your own initiative
- Ideally be immediately available and able to hit the ground running.
